Philly Cheesesteak.....

One of the great things about blogging is following other peoples blogs. It's interesting to see different perspectives on things which are also in your field of interest. For example every morning I take 20 minutes or so to catch up on my blog roll where I usually find some inspiration on items such as preparing dinner for that night. Most of you know I don't do big grocery shops, preferring to buy almost daily. Some might say it's crazy but I don't think so. I'll always be like that. Today as I was driving around, not texting or emailing, just thinking how easy it was cooking for my family. Every day they just basically come to the table when I call them without even knowing what's going to be served. Think about that right up until hand washing time nobody really knows what they are going to eat, only me. Now that's power!

Back to my point about reading my other blogs. Today a recipe from Food Hound  http://food-hound.blogspot.com/ caught my eye. It was for a Philly cheese steak and my it looked good. I have heard of these iconic sandwiches and there's even a place here in my hometown which serves them up but for something so famous and labelled I would really rather wait until I was actually in Philly rather than buy a fake from elsewhere.

Unless I made my own, I took Food Hound's recipe, thank you very much and that's what I made for dinner tonight. I'm happy to say for such a simple sandwich it tasted pretty darn good and stuffing the meaty goodness into an authentic Italian roll from a great local baker, Ferraro's made it even more majestic.

Thank you Food Hound......
