Friday Night Drinks....

That's right people I am hosting my first ever linky party. Since I started blogging I have realised networking is key to building your blog and is also a huge amount of fun. I enjoy corresponding with the people who leave comments, whether it is new or existing followers. I think if we were all to meet in a giant warehouse in the middle of Texas we could talk about food all day long and probably eat all day if we made it a pot luck, I know for sure we would all hold a drink in one hand. Unfortunately the logistics of having everyone meet in a Texas warehouse is beyond my natural powers so I propose to all of us whether following Foodness Gracious or not to submit a drink recipe to my linky. Imagine if you could be at a networking party, what beverage would you order. It could be a simple glass of wine or a wild cocktail. Also in the post please include 4 things about yourself which nobody else would know about, after all this is a networking party and we need to get to know each other. Lets not forget to click on the other blogs and leave some comments.

    Love the idea! I enjoy different drinks at different times..A sweet wine or a basic 7 and 7..It all depends on the day and the company..Four things about me: 1. married my childhood sweetheart 2. worked from home 3..when kids graduated from college worked fun jobs..4. Retired and loving it!! How'd I do?

    M.J, awesome and thanks for being the first one up. I was really looking for a picture of either of those wonderful drinks you mentioned in the linky though. Dont get me wrong I love having your fantastic portrait up there but It's for other bloggers to share drink recipes/pictures :)

    What a great idea for a linky pary. I linked margaritas, as that is my fav drink and I generally make them once a week. :) I'm down with a potluck in a Texas warehouse, let me warn you though it is SO HOT here. :)) So 4 things about me, 1) I'm a hermit (or wish I could never leave the house) 2) I want a cat, so badly, but hubs refuses my sad pleas 3) I really hope my baking business gets moving, both my kids are going to be in school and I need a J-O-B, and 4) we eat breakfast for dinner way too often. I don't know how interesting those things are, but they are the first 4 things I could think of.

    Blackberry 'Rita is up (forgive me b/c I could not get my delish drink pic's to upload). And, oops, I forgot to list four things:
    1. Would love to blog and write recipes full time (who wouldn't)
    2. Would love to get back in my pottery studio and be an artist full time
    3. Would love to become a Master Gardener.
    4. Would LOVE to quit my day job! LOL

    Jalapeno martini....not sure of the ingredients, it's actually called "Hot Lips" and you can find it at Watermarc in Laguna. Otherwise I'm kinda boring and just stick with a red Cab. 4 things about myself....need to think about that...

    A huge thanks to everyone who has participated in the party so far. I posted my own drink and for my 4 pieces of information, hmmm..
    1) I hate chicken on the bone.
    2) I once entered a watermelon eating contest and lost.
    3) I would love to have my own business.
    4) I can't swim.

    Next week I'll make sure it's only 1 question.
