Baklava and a Guest Post....

You like baklava, wanna piece of this? Well I'd love to tell you more about this sticky, sweet dessert but I'm afraid your going to have to go visit my newlywed friend from Australia, Yasmeen from Wandering Spice! Her blog is all about amazing Middle Eastern inspired recipes and I was well pleased when she asked if I could guest post for her while she skipped off and sealed the deal with Mr WS...

Go check out this baklava and all of her other impressive list of Eastern recipes. Thanks!

  1. It´s hard to find a good baklava with a lot of filling and crisp layers. They usually are drenched in syrup with pasty filo dough. This is awesome!

  7. What a great post. Love baklava. It looks a little labor intense and honestly I would have to ship it out of the house straight from the oven. Insanely delish. Love the almonds and pistachios.

  8. As I mentioned on Yasmeen's lovely blog, this is really one of my all time favourite desserts. Sweet and sticky and the nuts give such an incredible texture. The photo is lovely and communicates the texture perfectly. The cardamon is a nice addition too, I'll have to give it a try next time I make this great dessert (but with temperatures soaring into the 30°C's in Toronto, it will be a while before I turn the oven on.
